Hide a page in a book for students (and keep it visible for a teacher)

Hi

I would like to use hidden pages in the book module for the teachers

.I can hide a page but it is totally invisible once the editing mode is turned off

The teacher will only notice the hidden page when he turns editing on.


hidden page- visible for teachers - editing on


hidden  page -not visible for anyone- editing turned off



Is there a way to solve this problem?

As far as I know, currently there is no way to achieve this without messing around with code.

just wondering why . I dont see any practical use for the possibility to make hidden pages in the editing mode if the result is not visiblefor anyone out of the editing mode .

Do you know how to make it a request for development?

Any request for improvements should be made to the tracker.

There is a workaround but it is a manual process. You could add an HTML block with the permissions amended so that the authenticated user, guest and student could not view it and add the links to the hidden pages to this.
