Notifications failing for long posts

Notifications failing for long posts

I was testing the notifications before we go live with this new version of Moodle (the latest version). The posts that contained a few words were sent via e-mail by the Cron. However, the posts that contained several sentences are not getting sent. The cron shows the title of those longer posts, indicating that they were sent, but only e-mails on the short posts are coming into Outlook (junk mail).

Can you check your MTA's logs to see if they were sent?

You mention that Outlook is catching the short messages in your junk mail, it could be the same with your longer messages but they are reaching a higher SPAM score and being silently binned. This will obviously depend upon your configuration.

Andrew

Note, moodle.org is running the 2.8 beta and notifications are sent out as far as we are aware.

I never did post an update on this, but your input was sound. Thank you!

It was something on the part of the mail server.
