I am looking for some clarity on some issues that our academic team seem to be having since migrating to Moodle 2.6 and away from the original PDF Submission plugin. I would appreciate some comments on whether others within the community experience the same issues and whether there are any plans to address these via a later release (feature of 2.7+?) or a quality of life enhancement.
Within the Annotate PDF screen:
- Moving from one page to the next can only be done from the top of the page, meaning that one has to scroll from the bottom to top to move to the next page.
- The text box is a bit cumbersome. To deselect the textbox once a comment has been typed requires one to select another tool or to click in the top right selection box, which brings up a list of options. Previously we would just click outside the box. The size of the box is also not adjustable to a small size. It is quite big and often has to be placed over user text. Previously we could adjust the box according to the size we needed so that we could place it next to user text. The font is also quite big, not sure if this can be adjusted by user.
- Downloading the annotated Pdf file, requires us to go out of the submission and select the learner again, then scroll to the right on the Assignment Submission grid. Previously this all happened within the learner's grading screen.
