Yes, it certainly is a good idea to have a group of individual teachers in one moodle together, and sharing ideas and resources.

Hello,

I Just saw this interesting post.

I think this is a great idea for the many independent teachers/educators and subject matter expert currently working on their own to get together and work collaboratively and cooperatively sharing ideas, resources and cost.

Is anyone interested in setting up a group???

Let me know.

In terms of becoming a teacher using moodle, it depends on your audience and requirement there are many ways of designing and delivering moodle courses. In my experience it has not been enough to create a course and think that is the finished product. I have revised my maths courses many times after trying them with learners.

Some suggestions:

Plan and design your course before you  begin to populate it with content.

Make the course content relevant and emotionally appealing.

Give your learners some control over how they navigate through the course content.

Use various techniques to allow your learner access to the information.

Give your learners opportunity to reflect on the content.
