User Can't Log In: Keeps Getting Asked To Reset Password

Some users are complaining that whenever they try to log in, they are asked to reset their password. The next time they log in (could be that day or a few days later), they are asked to reset their password again.

I have checked their profile settings, and the checkbox for forcing password reset is not checked off. What is causing this, and how can I stop Moodle from forcing a password change every time they log in.

Go to the database, and in the mdl_user table look for the field "Confirmed" and check the value as either 0 or 1. If 0 then change to 1. AFAIK, that is the only place in the database that may be affected by the "Force password change" field, but that is using manual authentication. If there is another field under different authentication methods, then check that as well.
