Hello fellow moodlers!

We have three different groups and two courses as a pilot study based up their grant status. 

The first group can only access to Moodle assessments area and is not allowed to take these two courses. 
The second and third group can access to the courses but not allowed to take the assessment etc..

Is it possible to do in Moodle based upon their Moodle enrollment status

It depends on how you define "groups" but yes, you can easily do this. Manually enrol students into the courses you wish them to be able to access and as long as Self enrolment is disabled they will  not be able to access the other courses. Or you can create the groups as cohorts and again enrol the appropriate cohorts into the courses you wish. See Cohorts
