Database error when duplicating face to face plugin

What I've tried:

1. Copy facetoface directory & changed all text occurrences facetoface to "dx".

2. Changed the version number to something else so moodle sees something is changed

3. Installed module (everything successfully installed)

My tables in the database are correctly created. But after installing I get a DB error. It's like the connection to the database is corrupt. He can't read anything from the database ... .  I also get db related errors (but not helpful errors).

What I want to do is to change the facetoface plugin to my own needs. That's the reason why I made a copy of the module. But the problem is my database connection that doesn't work anymore after installing the new plugin ... .

What could be the problem of this?
