I've been looking at ways to implement simple, team-work/collaborative learning oriented behaviourally anchored rating scales (BARS see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behaviorally_anchored_rating_scales ). This is where learners rate and comment on how easy they found it to work with each peer and how helpful and productive their contributions were. It's especially useful for awarding marks for group/team-work fairly. They're also popular in company evaluation and training, often called 360 reviews, so I think there may be some interest there too.
The Survey module is suitable for self-evaluation but I'd like to be able to use it for peer-evaluations too. For example, if a cohort of learners are in groupings of 5, then the Survey module should ask each learner about the other 4 learners in their grouping. Does that make sense? There should also be a range of different types of BARS for different contexts and types of project/team/collaborative-work.
If peer-/self-evaluations contribute to grades/assessments, then it might make sense to have options to integrate it with the gradebook for other activities, e.g. Assignment and Workshop.
Or is this getting overly complicated?
Looking forward to your responses and ideas
