Multiple item descriptors to aid faculty with quiz development

Multiple item descriptors to aid faculty with quiz development

We are looking for a way to flag question bank items with respect to multiple descriptors to make it easy for faculty quiz designers to find relevant questions when creating a test.

For example, if we had a quiz question about Moodle itself, say about the Moodle essay question type, we would want to be able to flag it as being about both (a) quiz, and (b) question types. That way, a faculty member looking to create a quiz about quizzes or a quiz about question types could easily find the relevant items.

Is that possible? From the thread linked below, it looks like tags was one solution considered for this but I no longer see the tags field.

We are using Moodle 2.6.2. Thanks in advance!

The tags field is still there. E.g. http://demo.moodle.net/question/question.php?category=&courseid=1&sesskey=oWra9z4XHY&qtype=shortanswer&returnurl=%2Fquestion%2Fedit.php%3Fcourseid%3D1&courseid=1&category=1 and log in as manager/test.

You need to expand the section at the bottom of the form.

Thanks for this helpful reply, and good to see that the tags are still available.

This led me to realize that tags had been turned off on my site. I was able to enable them via Site administration > Advanced features > Enable tags functionality.
