How can i classify students into different class?

How can i classify students into different class? When i query all the user as admin, is there a good way to classify the student into different classes? or query by the course name?

I need this feature as well. I believe it is in the next up-date. I have asked my students to place a letter before their firstname eg AChapman Mike and the next class are BCallis Charles etc. When you export to Excel you can sort.
