Attaching files to assignment description?

Hello,

I keep getting this question from teachers. They want to create an assignment (in Moodle 2.6) and be able to attache a file, whether it is a pdf or something else, but not media, in addition to the instructions typed in the box.

Can this be done? For some reason I thought you could and I can not see where. I might be going back years, or maybe I am just plain wrong.big grin

Thanks,

JEB

You should be able to do the following:

  • Type a few letters (e.g. 'click here to download the PDF')
  • Select that writing, then click on the 'Link' icon in the text editor
  • Select 'Browse repositories' (I'm using M2.7, so it may be slightly different)
  • Select 'upload', then upload the file

Hopefully that should work ...

Yes -what Davo says is absolutely right. However it is something that teachers would like to do more easily than linking and so for this reason it is a feature which will be coming in the next version of Moodle, 2.8, out in a couple of months. See MDL-39929
