While not wanting to sound like an old Unix geek telling you to search the archives, you should search the archives

There are limitations with Safe Mode - some stuff won't (or might not) work. There has been loads of discussion on this in the past and doing a forum search for 'safe mode' should enlighten you a lot!

But, to cut a long story short, if you can possibly avoid it, don't use a safe mode setup.
