Ubuntu server partitioning and Moodle 2.7 recommendations

Hi all,

We have a Moodle server based off Ubuntu 14 Server. When installing Moodle, I went with Ubuntu's default partition install of using the entire disk. I've read elsewhere that some recommend setting up separate partitions for /var, /boot etc. I'm not having any problems per se. Just wondering if setting up separate partitions for /var would improve performance or just complicate things.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Rick

It shouldn't make any (noticeable) difference to Moodle whatever. Parititioning is a bit of a personal thing really.
