I've recently backed up hundreds of courses and saved the resulting .mbz archives to restore. Is there a quick way to delete all of the files created from the backups? They take up a LOT of diskspace!

"delete all of the files created from the backups" ... Are we talking about the .mbz's one can see in the Moodle UI? or all the files/folders in moodledata/temp/backup/?
If the former ... no magic button and it involves a combination of finding the contenthashed named file in moodledata/filedir (via DB query of mdl_files) ... removing that file + the DB records that reference it.
If the latter, one should be able to remove manually all files/folders in moodledata/temp/backup/ without issues.
