Don't know if this is the right forum.. but is there anyway we can change the format on how moodle creates the directories under Moodledata?
At the moment it uses numbers which don't have much reference to the course you have created..
Could we change this and for example use the "ID Number" or "Short Name" field?

As far as I know, the number in the moodledara folder correspond exactly with the course id number. For example, in this site the course "Using Moodle" can be reached http://moodle.org/course/view.php?id=5, so the course id is 5 and the corresponding folder inside "moodledata" is "5".
This is exactly what I'd like to do. Switch from id to idnumber fields. I'll be looking into this in far future (several months). But hopefully someone else before then.
