now i''m working on a moodle social plugin. for now i thing; a student can maintain their needed files in my private files block. so, i thought to add another features for that by a plugin called 'u-upload'. that mean usually the study materials are shared by the moderator /the lecturer of the particular course . so , my plugin let the students to share their own created files or any interesting file they experience . while he/she maintain their private file they can share it to other student who follow the same course in the LMS. however every sharing will moderate by the subject lecturer then only he forward to other students. is this a good concept to develop or is this already exist in Moodle??
Simply use the Glossary module with 'Approved by default' set to no. (entries require approving by a teacher before they are viewable by everyone).
If you want design your own layout, use Database module, with 'Approval required' set to Yes.
Enable 'Comment' and 'Rating' will make your activity looks like a social media site. That is the fun of Moodle than Blackboard.
thank you so much sir, I'll update as soon as possible . and thanks for your feedback..!
You might have a look also at this
to create a site-wide or course-wide directory with uploaded files. You have to check whether students have access or only teachers. But in special courses you can enrol the students to be teachers, no problem, if a course really belongs to the students.
actually my plan is t develop this plugin site-wide. its like maintaining my private files features in moodle . the new thing is I'm looking forward to share this private documents with other students. only with the course moderators approval. therefore , I hope we can create healthy community among the students . and I'll try to add little gamification factors to it as for the above comment.
as a block this might be a new concept .but in moodle assignment forum your idea is already there i guess .. in the forum its possible to upload files and discuss among students .
