I have 3 Moodle peers networked that have been working well for a few years. They are now all currently at version Moodle 2.6+ (Build: 20131122).
I am now recently getting the error below on one direction of roaming between two peers. Roaming between the others is working fine. The error only appears in one earlier Moodle Tracker record (no forum posts) The tracker item appeared to be resolved with earlier fixes.
Any suggestions on the cause or possible solutions? Are the key meant to be automatically refreshed by some process that might be failing?
"Ooops! Your MNET communication has failed! Here's that error message to pass on to your administrator: remote server error: code: , message: mnet/encryption-invalidERROR 4:
4: remote server error: code: , message: mnet/encryption-invalid"
It appears that the automatic update/renewal of the public keys is not happening across the severs. Once I redid the keys everything is fine.
Not a longer term solution to the problems but a work around.
Anyone know why when the cron are running fine the renewal of the keys is not happening?
