Table Layouts

Table Layouts

I was looking at the Submissions table in the Assignment module recently and realized that I rarely visit this interface for a reason, but that it is not the only table in Moodle that does this and I wondered to myself, why is this page this way. It has been like this for the 7 years that I have used and loved Moodle. I just avoid using it so as to not deal with it, but I wondered what the process was to create this interface.

"Could you please make me a table but only show me half of the data I need for each record and then make me scroll down all the way down to the bottom of the page so that I can then slide the table over with no headers visible now and then scroll all the way back up and have no first column to show me who this data is for?

Cool thanks Moodle you knew exactly how to make this virtually useless!"

Maybe it is time to address tables and page layouts again as to make them more concise and compact to be more usable on the modern trending smaller and smaller screens.
