Exercise: Matching one item to various items

Hi,

I'm using moodle 2.6.3 and hotpotatoes for creating a Spanish language course.

I would like to have matching questions where one item matches various items. For example: If we are talking about food we could have these groups:

  • Meat: chicken, beef, lamb, etc.
  • Vegetables: lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, etc.
  • Fruits: pears, apples, bananas, etc.
Is there a possibility of making an exercise like this? If so, could you explain me how.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Fernando.

You can do this with a matching question in the quiz, but you have to do it the other way around.

Make the subquestions and answers

Chicken -> Meat

Beef -> Meat

Lamb -> Meat

Lettuce -> Vegetables

Tomatoes -> Vegetables

... etc.

Hola Tim,

It really works. It was a simple answer but I didn't know how to do it.

Thanks.

Un saludo,

Fernando.
