In a HotPot run individually as a HotPot or in a QuizPort the keypad order for sub- and superscripts alternated sub and super for each number.
In a TaskChain, the order is mixed as shown here:
Which starts with some superscipts but goes sub then super and then sub again.
The keypad is set up with these Lucida sans uncode super-and subscripts:
From the early days when you first set this up more me, you had me add this custom code:
Is there anything that can be done so the order is more logical - alternating or just one type and then the other? Students do not complain but I think it is less confusing the first time they are exposed to it if more orderly.
PS. For those who did not frequent this forum five, six years ago, I, a chemistry teacher, started looking at HotPotato quizzes and QuizPorts. At first I thought that HotPots would not be useful for me because of the need for super- and subscripts. Timidly I posed this problem here. While not a direct quote, Gordon said "no problem" and set me up with the unicode solution.
