Speeding up TinyMCE in Firefox using admin settings

Hi,

I use Moodle 2.6 which comes with the TinyMCE editor. On Firefox the editor takes 10 to 20 seconds to load. On Chrome it takes just a couple of seconds.

Some users have complained about the unreasonably slow loading of TinyMCE, for example, https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=232089 and https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=223125.

To speed up TinyMCE I tried disabling ALL the plugins in the TinyMCE editor settings from my admin account: <moodle site address>/admin/settings.php?section=editorsettingstinymce

Then the editor loaded quickly. This has taken out a couple of minor functions, such as inserting emoticons, but loading speed is far more important for me than the ability to insert emoticons.

Not sure if this is the best solution but I just wanted to put out something here because I couldn't find any solution on the forums that worked for me. I'm a Moodle admin and do not have access to the code.
