I´ve just updated my moodel from 1.4 to 1.5 and when trying to access the variables configuration the following message appears:

I'm new at this moodle stuff.
What type of os  are you using, what server are you using?

In 1.4 there was a file named admin/config.html which was included from admin/config.php.
In 1.5 admin/config.html has been removed and admin/config.php has been changed accordingly.

The error message you are getting and the missing language string suggest that you do not have a complete copy of the 1.5 files ie you still have a 1.4 version of admin/config.php

Try getting another copy of admin/config.php
(note this is different to config.php located in the root moodle directory)
