When I take a photo I can see it uploads to the "Private files" and I can use it to attach as an assignment. The problem is that I want to use this photo to update my picture profile but the photos I upload with the app are not listed to be used as a picture profile from my private files.
I think it is a bug related with the missing .jpg extension on uploaded files from the camera or the gallery. I open the bug MOBILE-567 .
Thanks for reporting, it has been fixed
Using the latest Moodle Mobile app (ver 1.13), students are not able to take a selfie photo through the app and select it as a profile pic. In fact, the photos they take with the app can be saved in "private files," but they are saved at 90-degree angles, no matter the orientation of the device at the moment of shooting.
Big problem, because the first thing students want to do with Moodle Mobile is set a profile pic. When they find they can't even do that with their mobile app, the charm of using Mobile Moodle disappears pretty fast.
thanks for reporting this, I'll take a look
