I tried logging on to moodle today and it gave me this error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home4/aimlms/public_html/lib/setup.php on line 806

I've never had any issue before and havent even touched the back end coding

Any idea what the issue is?

Hello Saqib,

You could help us help you by providing more info about your setup: Moodle version, server, OS, etc. Anyway, it seems you have a PHP version lower that 5.3.

Get your Moodle version and then check to see if you have the correct minimum PHP version:

http://download.moodle.org/

Hi Guillermo

Thanks for that. The issue had to do with server updating its PHP version.

Once that was updated, Moddle worked perfectly

Saqib,

if you are using 2.7, then beware that versions required for 2.7 Moodle are higher than average hosting has. I had to switch hosting just because of that issue.
