In my time zone (Australia), date question types require dates to be input in day/month/year format, e.g. 15/05/2014.

When I download Questionnaire responses in text format, dates are also in day/month/year format.

However, when email confirmations are generated by Questionnaire, dates are formatted in year-month-day format, e.g. 2014-05-15.

I suspect it's due to the Time API. See: http://docs.moodle.org/dev/Time_API

Is it possible somehow to make the date format in email confirmations consistent with Questionnaire date question type?

Are you sure? Actually, dates in the "text format" download are formatted as yyyy-mm-dd in order to be recognised as dates when imported into spreadsheets. And dates in the email notification are formatted in the same yyyy-mm-dd format.

Which version of Questionnaire are you using?
