We have to update our users accounts with some new custom fields created.
I would thus like to import the users (existing and new) with all the fields and their new values into Moodle through a csv file.
However while I was testing, it got error messages.
I would thus like to know :
1) In the custom fields, I need to put the corresponding digit and not the value, isn't it?
For e.g.
profile_field_region
North - 1
East - 2
etc.
So I need to put the corresponding number in the column for all the users? Or north, east should be put?
2) If the digits are to be put then do you start with 0 or 1 for the custom fields?
North - 0 North - 1
East - 1 East - 2
South - 2 OR South - 3
West - 3 West - 4
3) As I want to update even the existing ones, I would be choosing the 3rd option Add new and update existing users. Are there any other parameters? And to be sure, by choosing this option, the new data will overwrite the existing one?
