Activity Chat at parent login Not able to chat

Hi,

We are using moodle 2.6 and created One user role that is parent and assign child to that parent.

We also created a site level chat.

When i am login as parent click on chat and in chat  click on Click here to enter the chat now

in that window i am not able to enter text that,even not able to chat.

Hi,

When you say a 'site level chat', do you mean a chat activity on the front page? If so, parents and children must also have a front page role with the capability to participate in a chat.
