Users with the default Student role see the screen shown below when they click on a WiZiQ activity.
When Students click on the Edit Class button, or the Schedule Class tab, they get an error message stating, "Sorry, but you do not currently have permissions to do that (Manage activities)." The same thing happens when they click the Manage Classes tab, then pick one of the two available choices: Edit or Delete. If they click the Manage Content tab, they get a different error: "error/Don't have capability" followed by this one: "A required parameter (sesskey) was missing." This latter behavior smacks of buggy-ness.
Nonetheless, I want a way to hide or disable all the controls that are outside the Student's permission scope, and just show the Join Class button here. I've tried a few different themes but all of them present the same out-of-scope controls.
