I've been rocking Moodle 2.X for about two years, and have had LDAP working for almost that whole time.
One thing that I wished I could configure a little better though deals in account creation.
Namely, Active Directory usually would default (upon creating a user with it's tools) to have the cn, displayname, and name attributes set to "%givenName% %sn%" Ie. Firstname Lastname (Zac Mussatt, Bob Testperson, etc).
Moodle (or at least the way I have it mapped out) goes and gives cn = sAMAccountname, name = sAMAccountname, and does not set the displayname.
This leaves active directory a bit funky in that I see from ADUC the students account names rather than first last like I'm used to seeing for staff.
While I'm sure I can cook up a powershell solution to this and have that run periodically, I would rather moodle just not make a mess in the first place.
Any input would be helpful. Thank you.
