Hello everybody,
I have some issue and i need some help:
I know how to create several questions containing random values with the plug-in "Variable numeric", but i do not know how to create a mathematical problem with several sub-questions related to this problem.
For example:
For each student:
x = a (random value) y = b (other random value) and z = c (other random value) (description of problem)

(Sub-questions related to the problem)
1. y+ x = ?
Answer 1
2. x + z = ?
Answer 2

Correct answer 1 and 2 are automatically calculated.

I can't do this kind of test with "Cloze question" or " the Combined plugin"

Has anyone done this kind of test before?
Can you help me?

Thank you!

See questions 2 and 3 in this quiz: http://www.open.edu/openlearnworks/mod/quiz/view.php?id=51834 (You will need to sign up for a free account to do that.) They are two separate questions that use the same random values.

See the description of "String to act as seed for randomisation" at  http://www.open.edu/openlearnworks/mod/oucontent/view.php?id=52747&section=2.1.3
