View grades - not alter grades

I'm looking for a role that allows a user to view all grades form all students, but not alter the grades.

I think I've come a long way. There's actually one problem: this users has a humongous 'my courses'-list.

I don't want this user to have 8000+ courses in his 'my courses' list. It slows Moodle down and makes navigating around a pain in the *.

As the manager of the Moodle I only see the courses in which I have a role as a teacher or student. Is there anyway to force this upon the 'gradeviewer'-role?

How have you set your role up already? (your "gradeviewer" role)?

Hello Mary,

Yes I have, I have a gradeviewer role that I can assign to categories. The role works fine, it's just the speed and navigation problems (related to the 8000+ courses being in the 'my courses')
