i've been trying to set up memcached for my moodle 2.6.2 server and i think i'm almost there ...
in looking over the site administration > plugins > caching > configuration page i can see that the memcached plugin is there with the checkmark. but the cache does not have the data guarantee and key awareness features under the support column. i'm wondering if i need to compile some special options in with the php memcached extension, or maybe even memcached itself.
so, right now, items needing these features go to the file cache that i'm trying to get rid of.
also, i have not enabled the 'memcache' cache as i thought 'memcached' is doing all i need.
sorry if this is in the documents and i just missed it, but i looked. if this is case, a pointer to the right page is all i need.
otherwise, any help is welcome. thx!
