Essential Theme: Drag n Drop broken

Essential Theme: Drag n Drop broken

Hello,

We are running Moodle 2.6.2 (20140310) with Essential 2.7 (2014020300). I just pulled a fresh copy of Essential from Github.

I am encountering two issues.

1) Drag and drop with blocks does not work. When the page first loads the cross-hairs appear on the blocks, but once the page fully loads those disappear. The only way to move the blocks then is through the configure options/menu.

2) The turn editing off button does not work once the page fully loads. It is possible to get to do so right after refreshing the page, but once the drag and drop notice appears, the button is not clickable.

Here is a video illustrating these issues.

The drag and drop cross-hairs function as expected within the main course area. It is possible to drag and drop resources, activities and labels to reorder them.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Same Moodle and Essential versions here... and the same issue.  Unchecking the Edit Icons V2 to return it to its default fixed the drag and drop issue, however the Turn Editing Off button issue remains.  It does not function when the page is fully loaded.  The issue appears to occur after the "Drag and drop files onto course sections to upload them" pop-up message disappears.  (See attached image)

So to boil this down further, based on what was said in the other post, are the V2 icons broken at the moment in the sense of how it handles this edit button?

And what is being said is that we have to set up an image file in the place of the move icon?

As you can see I have split this from the original discussion as most of it was from last year and things have moved on.

I have tested this theme and do not see any problem in either the button of the icons.

I am using the most latest version of Theme Essential.

You can download the latest version here...

EDIT:

The V2 Edit icons are an option.

Why Julian added this function is beyond me...all it has done is cause grief if this post and all the others associated with it is anything to go by.

My advice is stick to the old stuff that works.

Thank you for your response Mary.  I have downloaded and installed the most recent version that you linked. And you are correct, the Turn editing off button does work, however only the very top slice of the button that displays behind the brief Drag and drop pop-up message. (See screenshot.)  It's as if the editing user has to "search around" for just the right spot (very top) of the button for it to work after the Drag and drop pop-up disappears, which I foresee causing quite a bit of grief from some of my instructors.

Is there a way to disable the Drag and drop pop-up message all together, or to narrow its display so that it does not overlap the Turn editing off button?
