Mac complete package migration

Hi I installed the Moodle complete package for Mac OsX and I am now trying to migrate the package to a host, I saw the instruction package, but that does not cover the installation pack. Is there a way to do it? or do I have to start from scratch?

Thanks

Do you have an install of Moodle running on your host yet?

I have never done exactly what you are attempting to do, but I have moved some of my hosted versions of moodle around.  I would start by making sure that I have the save version of Moodle running on your Mac and on your host (a newer version on the host should also work, but not an older).  Then, I would backup the Mac's database, and I would "tar" the Mac's moodledata directory.  Then, I would move these two files to the host (ftp is fine), import that database into your host's database (via ssh command), then replace your host's moodledata directory with your Mac's "tar'd" directory.

Maybe my ideas will help you, or will cause others to jump in and help.

Also, let us know if you need more detail to these steps.
