Integration Instructions

 

1 Chat button

 

Firstly a chat button will be added to the top menu of Moodle.

2 Single Sign On

Install the module, and the Moodle user database will be immigrated to the chat room and single sign-on will be enabled. It's all automatic!
Then Moodle users may click the "Chat" button directly, without being asked to login again.

 

3 Chat Status

 

The following data of the chat room can be displayed on the Moodle index page to attract more users to join chatting.

  • Total connections, total logon users, rooms
  • Login user list

4 Choose Chat Size, Language

 

You can change chat window size and interface language.

Hi Guy,

I just downloaded the package and installed it into our Moodle chat with the instructions, it is really a good chat software, and it could seamlessly integrated with Moodle site. I want ask you some questions here.

1. I saw your site have Mobile App, can i also use it?

2. There are two video modes in the chat, video/audio and video conference, could you let me know the difference between them?

The product is very compatible with Moodle structure and it should look pretty good on the front end.

 

 

For your questions,

1 Yes we do support Mobile Chat , however, for a free version, it will be disabled since you won't get a chat ID until you are a formal registered customer.  You can read here for more: http://www.123flashchat.com/mobile-apps

 

 

2 Video mode is a regular way to publish audio and video that users can do publicly and privately. However, for video conference, users will see the videos for up to 12 users directly broadcasting on the top of the chat interface without having to click the camera icon first. It is more a conference mode .

Actually this module with the built in free flash chat does not require a server.

 

It is hosted by 123 Flash Chat and it is already been done.

Does flashchat support saving/downloading chat transcripts?

Sorry for the late response, yes, our flash chat server software have this function, will save all the transcripts of public chat and private chat. You will be able to check them easily.
