We are planning on starting a moodle website which will have selected people on the system. it wont be a public website but an internal website for our students.
Total number of registered users would be 800 - 1200 users
but expecting to have 15 - 20% users to be online at any given time during office working hours.
we would only have discussion form and quiz module online for the users and not more than 50 users would take a quiz at a single given time.
Now the real question is:
we are looking into getting a hosting service. We've been using hostgator for a long time for different websites and never had any issues. We are thinking about getting shared hosting by hostgator (baby package) for the moodle website as discussed above.
Can anyone tell me if that would be okay in terms of performance and speed of the website? or do we have to look into some other option?
the Moodle Partner hostings are way too much expensive for our needs at the time. For the requirements mentioned above... any suggestions about hosting would be great.
