I have made an assignment activity in my moodle course. The students have uploaded their work and I have been able to download all the submissions as a zip file. I have used the edit tools in Microsoft word to give them feedback and would now like to upload the files back onto moodle. When I go into the the assessment activity then click "veiw/grade all submissions" in the grading action drop down menu there is only "download all submission" and "view gradebook" there is no upload option. Is there something I need to change in the assessment setting so that this option shows?
which version of Moodle are you using?
Have i understood you want to upload all the "files" in one zip file?
I upload the 'feedback" (amended file...) back to the individual student
here are two sceen-shots of what a teacher sees on our our spiffy new Moodle 2.6.2
Nic - the instructions are in the section Uploading multiple feedback files in the docs here Assignment settings and this has been available since Moodle 2.4, so can you confirm which version of Moodle you have?
We are using version 2.6.2+
Another teacher at the campus has the ability to download the student submissions and then upload them back to the students. When they click on the drop down menu in the submission page there is an option to 'upload zip file'. I do not have this option (see image below of the options I have). We are both administrators of the site.
When I tick the offline grading worksheet it asks for a worksheet. This is not what i want to do. I want to write my corrections on their word document, and upload the files back to the students.
When I tick "feedback files" in the "feedback' option it allows me to upload a zip file (see below) which is what i want to do but not all the files are uploaded (1 out of 20 are uploaded). All the student files are using the same program and saved in the same settings and are under the upload file size.
Sorry - I meant feedback files - I was working from memory instead of checking. So you want to download the students' work, comment on them using MS Word's feature and then reupload them to the correct students? Have you looked at the section Uploading multiple feedback files in Assignment settings?
Hello, I've tried that (but with Moodle 2.5) and it works fine if I leave the same filenames, and then put them in a zip file - how could it actually upload one single file if you are using a zip?
The only problem I find is when trying to grade offline work, because after having uploaded the zip file, Moodle tells me "no changes", and does not permit me to go any further.
Mary and all Moodlers: I just wanted to say what a fantastic feature this upload by zip is ! I've been teachning for the UOC for 8 years, and they have a very nice assignment and notes tool, but that kind of upload was a feature I was dreaming about - uploading one file after another is just the one thing that's stupid and annoying task for a teacher !
