This is a "maintenance" release fixing many of the bugs that have recently been reported as well as one new requested feature. Details listed below

New in 2.6.2

  • FIX: Invert Navbar setting now works
  • FIX: Disable custom login screen setting ow works
  • FIX: Better formatting of reporting screens
  • FIX: Properly formatted Moodle logo in footer of front page
  • FIX: Custom logo now shows in the header
  • FIX: Numerous (by that I mean A LOT) of minor formatting fixes

Hi Julian,

Great work on the theme!

Are you aware of the submenus not working in Elegance?  I think Mary Evans said she was going to make a tracker issue for it.

Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Elegance is based on the Bootstrap theme (https://github.com/bmbrands/theme_bootstrap) and I believe that Bas and David are aware of the issue as it relates to the underlying Bootstrap 3 code.

As I think Elegance issues are managed in GitHub - https://github.com/moodleman/moodle-theme_elegance/issues, then a tracker issue would not work in this instance.  And indeed looking there, there is an issue for it: https://github.com/moodleman/moodle-theme_elegance/issues/24.

I've added a link to the source in that issue, but the upstream Bootstrap 3 project dropped support for these as they don't make much sense on mobile (and aren't great on desktops to be honest).

Adding them back is probably possible, there's third party modifications that attempt it, but I'd strongly advise thinking about whether it's a good idea or not before anyone spends any time on it.

As has been mentioned by others, Bootsrap3 dropped support for submenu's.

I have added a hack to the master branch in Github that brings it back. If users could test it and confirm it works in most browsers Ill bring it into the next release.

P.S. For the devs following this, I found a great form of this written in LESS that seams pretty solid. Maybe could be included in the Moodle shipped variant? https://gist.github.com/JumpLink/7140006

Re: Elegance 2.6.2 Released

Great Job,

I tested yesterday and find that slideshow has some problems or I may misconfigured the settings,

for the first time I installed theme on fatcow.com hosting

Configured in admin>elegance setting>slideshow settings  and added 10 slideshow and each slide background color with #0098e0 color and also inserted an image too each slide but the result differs from settings I entered:

when setting into 1 slide it works fine, but when setting into 10 slide it not works, when disabling 4-10 slides and enabling 1-3 only 3rd slide working and 1 and 2 slide displays black color

someone can help please?

That is because half of the code is missing!

I think it has been fixed but perhaps not in the release version yet!y

I, too, have the same black colored slide issue as Reza and m.h. But, only with Firefox (28.0) and not Chrome.

Hi J,

FYI, this:

https://gist.github.com/JumpLink/7140006

does not work, but this:

http://firdaus.grandexa.com/2013/09/twitter-bootstrap-3-multilevel-dropdown-menu/

does.  But phone sized display sub-menu needs indenting fixed.

Hi,

To fix indenting <= 767px sizes, add the following LESS to the 'http://firdaus.grandexa.com/2013/09/twitter-bootstrap-3-multilevel-dropdown-menu/' solution:

@media (max-width: @screen-sm-min) {
    .dropdown-submenu > .dropdown-menu {
        margin-left: 10px;
    }
}
