Hi all, I'm trying to add an image to a text box in the same style as the Moodle front page! i.e. text over an image. (the picture of the group of people)
I can use the html editor to insert an image but cannot edit it i.e. allow text to be displayed in front of it!
I have disabled the html editor and tried adding regular html code into the text box and it will display the text but not the image. (I don't think its a path issue).
Anyone any ideas or know how the moodle front page was done?

I think someone else might be able to tell you more specifically, but I suspect it was done using CSS. A background-image was probably specified for the particular class of that part of the page. Then the text was just typed in the html editor, and then automatically it was superimposed over the image.
