Do you know if Moodle mobile will work with an alternate port server? aka port 8080.
There might be some other options here if you can get Moodle Mobile installed on android or ios simulators you can try altering the host file on your local machine to point a domain name like Moodle.localhost.com to 127.0.0.1 and the computer should route all internal traffic to your localhost server.
If you are trying on a mobile device on the same network as the mobile devices wifi you might be able to configure the wifi router to do the same thing as a host file. I use dd-wrt on my linksys router at home and it's advanced configuration allows dnsmasqing so I can point Moodle.dev to my localhost instance. I haven't actually tried this with Moodle mobile but in theory it would work.
