Here is my solution to get LaTeX working on tex filter. I am sorry about my English. Have a good reading. It work !
- Imagick PHP module must be loaded because ImageMagick don't manage ghostscript. So /usr/bin/convert command failed when we want to use LaTeX
- Install last moodle stable package. In my case 2.6.1+
- Comment or delete lines 124 to 132 on latex.php file (see /path/to/moodle/filter/tex directory)
- Insert this code after line 132:
$image = new Imagick();
Hope it will help anyone annoying to drag and drop images on his/her text.
Sorry to jump in in the middle ... I am interested in this topic cuz I am struggling with LaTex as well with my 2.6.2.
Can I clear all records in mdl_cache_filters to clear away all stored old images?
If you change any of the admin settings for TeX notation filter, the cache of images is automatically cleared.
