Do I have to purchase an SSL cert for our entire site to continue using BOX with upload from Box to Moodle?  (Been waiting for days for a reply from BOX.)  We are on 2.5.3.

We've been uploading files from Box (paid Enterprise edition; file copies, not links) for a year.  After latest BOX upgrade, we are still able to browse BOX from within Moodle, but we are no longer able to upload directly into Moodle.  Our vendor (Moodlerooms) is charging a rather high annual fee for the SSL certificate, so I'd like to be certain that if I purchase it, it will work the way it did before the BOX upgrade last Dec.  

So far, I have purchased the $500/yr SSL cert for login page.

I am holding off on the $2500/yr SSL cert for entire site.

Wondering if anyone can confirm that this is the solution for us to continue uploading directly from BOX.  We have a huge video collection on BOX, and hope to upload into Moodle directly from BOX.

Error message from BOX is:

      Error: redirect_uri_mismatch

Is anyone using the BOX repository successfully since the recent change of API?  Only since upgrade of BOX api, and upgrade of moodle to 2.5.3 (only 2 weeks apart), we are experiencing inability to upload from BOX directly into moodle.  Neither BOX nor Moodlerooms (now owned by Blackboard) knows what is causing the problem.  I would love to speak with someone who is still using the BOX repository successfully since the change over.  Many thanks!

Hi Kathleen,

I was one of the developers involved in the migration of the Box.net API. As you can see on http://docs.moodle.org/25/en/Box.net_APIv1_migration, the consequence of the new API is the requirement of SSL. Though, I am a bit surprised that you can browse your files, if my memory does not fail me, the requirement for SSL appeared during the identification process, so you should not be able to access anything...

Hi Fred,

So, do we need SSL throughout the whole moodle site, or just the login? We have https on login only, but I still can't seem to get Moodle to talk to Box since the box api changed in Dec 2013.

When attempting to login to box via the file picker, we get:

Error: redirect_uri_mismatch

As far as I can see in the moodle docs, there's no reference to what the redirect_uri should even be. I've currently put https://[ourmoodlesite]/admin/oauth2callback.php as a guess based on other repos, but it really can't be right because we don't have https for all pages.
