I'm testing out Assignment settings, taking screenshots and so on and I would like to be able to delete the test submissions. Is it possible, even with Admin rights? I have searched the forums and browsed the Docs but can't figure it out. I'm using 2.6.1+ (build 20140207).
Maybe if you have access to the database. Otherwise, only the uploading user can delete files. So, if a student uploads a file, the student can only delete it. Same from the teacher point of view.
You can use login as on a user's profile to delete that user's files.
Thanks, that's what I figured... The user can remove the submitted files and/or text, but the empty submissions stays. The Assignment still says "1 submission" and so on. Just looking for a simple way to "reset" the Assignment. Mostly this is needed in the testing phase.
You can go to the Grader report, turn on editing and revert to no grade. But, yes, the submission remains.
You can back up the course with no user data and restore it as a new course and everything will be clean.
The tracker ticket https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-28448 says this is resolved in Moodle 2.7.
