Unfortunately passwords can not be reset on this site

I have a problem with reseting password for existing users

I intentionally created account and tried to retrieve lost password

and I first get an email saying:

"Someone (probably you) has requested a new password for your account on 'moodle.tcaet.net'.

Unfortunately passwords can not be reset on this site, please contact the site administrator,

Admin User

info@tcaet.net"

I would like users to be able to retrieve lost passwords, but i cannot figure out how

I am using moodle 2.6 (it was installed as 1.9 first then quickly upgraded). also we are using LDAP for database

hope anyone can help

thanks

Group Particularly helpful Moodlers

You may find an answer here: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=93352

If this is in the docs it is very well hidden

We don't let our LDAP users change their password from Moodle.  They have to go to the site we have setup for LDAP password changes.  Do you have that sort of site?  Can you put the link to that in the message sent when users want to reset/change their password?
