Our students attend approx. 7-8 courses per term. Within these courses, students are required to pass 4 unit tests. They must pass all unit tests before promotion to the next level. As mentioned, unit tests appear across multiple moodle courses.
Through webservices our SIS currently only retrieves final Moodle course grades for our SIS grade reports. It is important, however, for our Coordinators to locate and assist students with unit failures so as to set up retests, etc.
Grades are entered as Moodle offline assignments but navigating through 6 + moodle courses across multiple levels to retrieve unit test grades is not a favorable option. They are forced to input all unit tests scores on a separate and rather large spreadsheet where they can manually highlight failures. There is a dual grade entry system going on. Not good.
Of course, we would like grades simply to be inputted into Moodle and then be able to run a weekly report to gather all unit test scores.
What would be the best way to approach this and solve our problem?
