I have exactly the same issue on Moodle 2.8.1. I set the frontpage to show "enrolled courses", but if a student logs in, he can see all active courses, not only the ones in which he is enrolled to. He cannot enter nor register to the course but can see it. As this is confusing, I would like to avaoid showing useless Information.
if I go to "my Home", then I can only see the courses in which I am enrolled to.
Is this a bug on Moodle 2.8?
For the time being I cannot show any courses on the front page.
