I would like to install the eqivalent of a Chat daemon on Windows 2008 R2 (WIMP). It looks like a simple process in Unix but doing this on windows doesnt look straight forward to me or well documented.
Should I to try and run the '/mod/chat/chatd.php' script as a Windows Service? Does this require a third party application to run a php script this way, I didnt see any simple windows methods for running this reliably as a Service?
