For greater clarity on my last question:
For example, Week 3 comes after Week 8 which is the last week of the course. With that stated, Week 3 has an assignment that is worth 50 pts whereas Week 4 has an assignment that is work 25 pts. This is where it gets hairy, so to speak; as the gradebook will only allow 25 pts in Week 4 in accordance with the grade book and Week 3's grade is tacked on at the end. The students are having a hard time understanding this.
And, until my manager informed me that this was how the gradebook was set up, I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what was going on. I was actually trying to manually insert grades for Week 3; and, could not because of the 25 pts assigned for that week. Although, a 50 pt assignment should be there. I believe the weeks for the dqs are also set up this way. But, that is not a huge problem because the same grade for the dqs is standard for all weeks. Am I making sense, I sure hope so.
