I am using Moodle version 2.5. I switched on maintenance mode as the administrator. Now when I try to log in I keep getting the temporarily unavailable message (I am logging in as the administrator). I have tried to reset the password in case I had that wrong but again, I get temporarily unavailable.
I checked the database and found the table mdl_config. The field name "maintenance enabled" has a value of 0 and the field name "maintenance message" is blank so I have no idea how the maintenance mode has been stored. I checked the moodledata file but there is no folder called 1 so I am assuming this was how older versions of Moodle stored maintenance information. I also tried searching the database for the text "Temporarily Unavailable" thinking that might help me find a flag of some kind but it is not stored in the database anywhere.
Can anyone help me understand why I am not able to log in as the administrator now that I am in maintenance mode and where the value is being stored that I could manually change to take the site out of maintenance mode.
