We are running Moodle 2.4 and we have group projects where a student from the group will upload a file for submission in an assignment.
Once a student uploads a file the file is displayed under "File Submissions" but if they click on the file to download it they get an error message stating "Sorry, the requested file could not be found". If they click on Edit, it is possible to download the file as a student by clicking on the file and then choosing "download" or by clicking "download all". However once the Due date passes they can no longer edit the submission and therefore cannot download it.
None of the students in the group can download the file and it happens for all students in all courses across our site but only for Assignments that have groups.
If you login as an administrator and click on the file it will download with no problems. I looked at both the links from the student and the administrator and they are identical:
So it seems like a permissions issue not a server or directory problem. The link shows up to students it just won't allow the download to work, but as an administrator the exact same link works fine.
I searched the forums and found related topics but either the download link was not showing (ours always shows it just doesn't work) or the links were different for the Student and the Admins (ours are identical).
Any help would be much Appreciated.
